Special Halloween Event

We are having a special Halloween event with resident storyteller Eric Brennan on Saturday 28 October. This event is for children under 4 and their parents/carers but older siblings are welcome to come along as well.

Baby and Toddler Rhymetimes

Baby and Toddler Rhymetimes take place every Tuesday, 11am-12noon in Craigmillar Library, even during the holidays if the library is open!

East Neighbourhood Centre and Craigmillar Library

There are lots of rhymes, songs and stories for children under 4 and their parents/carers. Children also get a free snack. Older siblings are also welcome to come along.

Saturday Storytimes

Storyteller Eric Brennan is our Storyteller in Residence and he leads a storytelling workshop at our monthly Saturday Storytime. Storytimes take place on the last Saturday of the month. This event is for mums, dads, carers and children under 4. Everyone is invited to join in with creating our own stories! Children get a juice and a snack and older siblings are welcome to come along.

Monthly Polish Rhymetimes at Craigmillar Library

Polish Rhymetimes take place on the last Wednesday of the month at 10am.

We run events for families where children are turning two. Our next event will be on Wednesday 8 November, 11am-12noon in Craigmillar Library.

Is your child turning 3 in the next few months or have they recently turned 3? We have a certificate and bookbag for your child to celebrate their reading journey with Books for Babies! Please call or text Michelle on 0131 621 2621 or 07923 403 061 to arrange collection.

Events and Outreach Work

Activities for children under 3. Parents or carers will be organised both in the library and elsewhere in the Craigmillar area as part of the project's outreach work.
